In clinical practice we constantly see people suffering from various kinds of eating disorders. These are perpetuated, re-enforced and re-invented constantly in Western society where people have become divorced from the natural eating process.

Such conditions can be immune to drug therapies, counselling and even psychotherapy because the resistant defence mechanisms for those behaviours mainly reside in the conscious mind.

In her younger years, Tracie was a professional dancer and was surrounded by eating disorders and the kind of pressure people put on youngsters to have a particular shape and size. Being a medical nutritionist as well as a clinical hypnotherapist, she also constantly sees people in her clinic suffering from anorexia, bulimia, obesity, morbid obesity, disease and trauma-induced malnutrition.

Topics covered in this training include:

The different kinds of eating disorders

Screening protocols

How therapists can work with clients to help them change their cognitive behavioural patterns, emotions and eating habits through direct and indirect suggestion, cognitive rehearsal in hypnosis and hypno-psychotherapy.

Hypnotherapists are in a unique position to alter behaviour patterns for people with eating disorders fast, through deep unconscious change.

This training also includes a review some of Tracie’s past cases where long-term chronic eating disorders have been helped in a matter of a few sessions by applying hypnotherapeutic techniques.
